Ministry Officiant
Heather Rose
Hi, my name is Heather Rose.
If you love real talk, big grace, and diving deep into the Word of God, you are exactly where you belong.
Today, my life looks a whole lot different than it used to. I am an empty nester nearing retirement, married to my absolute best friend and fellow believer. Together, we are blessed with four children—three incredible adult children and their spouses/sweethearts, and one beautiful soul who is Forever 19 with our Lord. We are also blessed with our grandson, whom I call Styx (it's a grammy thing !). When we aren't at home, we can be found traveling and exploring new places together, usually with our three dogs: Echo (Weim), Rye (GSP), and The Queen B (our tiny but mighty Chihuahua aka Blue the Raptor). I am also currently licensed as a Ministry Officiant and happily enrolled in Ordination classes with the Christian Leaders Organization. But if you think I’ve always had it all together... oh, boy, let me reintroduce myself! My "Tohu va-Vohu" (The Hot Mess Express) My journey with God started at absolute rock bottom. I was a high school dropout with a tenth-grade education. I had been a teenage mother, lived through two painful divorces, and experienced homelessness in abandoned buildings. At 18, my fiancé passed away. Nineteen years later—the day before my youngest son turned five—we lost our 19-year-old son. Because I wasn't raised in the church, it was easy back then to blame God, lose my faith, and turn my back on Him. I felt discarded by the people who were supposed to love me the most, and the storm that always brewed inside me grew into a hateful, ugly tempest. Fast forward to 2020. Suddenly, I found myself making multiple six-figures. I let the world's version of success completely go to my head. I bought the big house, drove the newest cars, and curated a Facebook-perfect life on the outside. But on the inside, I was chasing money, drowning in negativity, and working 20-hour days—even working straight through my own 50th birthday trip while my family celebrated without me. But fake foundations don't last. The market crashed, and I splattered like a bug on a windshield. The money vanished. The "fans" left. Facing the sudden loss of my home, my business, and my mind, I found myself sitting on the floor in pitch-black anguish. I was trapped in what the Hebrew Bible calls Tohu va-Vohu—the "wild, waste, and chaotic" darkness. Let There Be Light Right there in my absolute wreckage, as I raged and was seconds from death, I cried out to God for relief. Instead of judgment, an unbelievable peace washed over me. The Creator of the universe looked down at my catastrophic hot mess and said, “Not today, my girl.” In that exact moment, I knew nothing more about Him or the Bible than I did an hour before—except for one undeniable truth: He was my Savior, the Lord of my life, and the sole reason I was still breathing. I had been given another chance. Today, I know with absolute certainty that you need Jesus for everything, and most especially for salvation. Being a "nice person" or doing good deeds doesn't open the gates of heaven; those things are simply the beautiful overflow of choosing Jesus, not the way to get to Him. On that very day, an unquenchable thirst for His Word was born in me, and it hasn’t stopped since. That was my transformation day. My rebirth day. The moment I chose Jesus, the morning came, the shadows broke, and I stepped into a brand-new life completely surrounded by God’s grace. Wild Mustard Seed Ministries Recently, the Lord placed a powerful calling on my heart to sow wild seeds. I can still hear Him whispering, 'Gather as many as you can, my girl.' That is how Wild Mustard Seed Ministries was born. What started as just a tiny seed, nurtured by our Lord’s great love, is slowly blooming. Soon, it will grow into a tree big enough to cast a wide shade—a sanctuary where we can all gather together in His presence. My dream is that we reach The FULL 100, leaving absolutely no one behind. Scripture tells us of the Good Shepherd who willingly leaves the ninety-nine righteous sheep in the open country to pursue the single one that is broken, terrified, and lost. He does not stop until He finds it, carrying it home on His shoulders with joy. Our mission is to walk out into those same wild, dark places alongside Him. We want to help gather every single one of His scattered, missing sheep—bringing them safely into His fold so that the flock is made whole, the joy of heaven is complete, and not one is left wandering alone in the dark. We are sowing the seeds, providing restful shade, and guiding the lost home to Jesus. If He can step into my chaos, organize my deep mess, and pull me out of the dark, He can do the exact same thing for you. No matter where you are or what your past looks like, it is never too late to grab His hand and begin again.
